The Corporate Sponsorship department's primary role is to secure corporate funding for NEPM’S local media operations by raising awareness in the marketplace for public media (television, radio, web, print, and events) as a marketing solution in the region’s largest marketplace for viewers and listeners of all backgrounds, cultures and ages.



The Multimedia Account Executive is responsible for securing revenue from local businesses and advertising agencies through sponsorship of NEPM TV, radio, online, print, digital and events with an emphasis on developing customized multimedia sponsorship packages for clients. New business development and current client retention is the focus of this role and a key requirement. The position will report to the Director, Corporate Sponsorship.



  • Secure new business: Research, identify and cultivate new sponsors. Prepare action plans to project the number of contacts to be made to build a sales pipeline. Cold calling via phone, setting up face to face meetings.  Follow up on new leads and referrals.  Cultivate clients and prospects through participation in pledge nights, special events, and other activities that involve prospects or current clients.

  • Maintain existing business: Present media opportunities to current sponsors to increase yearly spend. Provide programming that meets the clients’ marketing needs

  • Prepare sponsor contracts by providing all details to execute contracts. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow up.  Identify and resolve client concerns.  Prepare Quarterly Plans, and other of reports as needed, including activity, revenue projections and closings, performance to goal forecasts and follow-up. Log and track all sales activity in a CRM database.  Work with traffic, production and marketing departments to ensure spots air correctly.  Work with accounting to ensure invoicing and collections are timely and correct.

  • Meet or exceed revenue goals as outlined for the department



  • The ideal candidate will have a winning attitude, media sales experience and the ability to initiate and grow business

  • Candidates must be familiar with strategic selling, able to work with sales reporting and research tools, and understand quantitative and qualitative data.

  • Must be organized, able to execute sales strategies, and able to create and deliver sales presentations.

  • Candidate must be articulate, energetic, goal oriented, and able to work in a collaborative team environment across department lines.

  • Must be comfortable with cold calling to develop prospect lists.

  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, revenue goal-oriented environment

  • Travel in the region required; occasional evening and weekend work required. 

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ACT Customer Relationship Management database, Scarborough, Media Audit, TapScan, Market Advisor, Media Monitor, and other media-related programs.



Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Minimum of 5 years' work experience required.
